What can we do about it?
Dublin continues to partner with Union and Franklin counties, Marysville and ODOT to pursue federal funds to finish the interchange replacement and to widen US 33 between the interchange and Post Road and US 33.
- Phase 1 will rebuild the northbound to westbound ramp of the I-270/US 33 interchange, which is estimated to cost approximately $45 million (2011 dollars). The cost to replace the entire interchange is estimated at about $125 million (in 2006 dollars).
- ODOT and the City of Dublin are partnering now to conduct the required planning and environmental analysis, a $2.5 million study. This study includes a stakeholder advisory committee and public meetings to ensure the public provides input on the proposed solution.
- Construction of Phase 1 is slated to begin in 2015 and be completed in 2017, pending availability of federal funds.
