Construction begins Spring 2015

Construction of the new 270/33 interchange, a top transportation priority in the Columbus region, begins Spring, 2015. The $73 million interchange improvements will improve safety and relieve congestion by separating traffic that is forced to weave and merge today. Major construction will be completed fall, 2016; final paving and landscaping will be finished in 2017.

US Route 33 will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Frantz Rd. and Avery Rd. from 9 p.m to 5 a.m. for pavement work. Crews will be working overnights the whole week and are expected to be complete Saturday, April 4. By 5 a.m. each morning, all lanes of US 33 will be open.
