Tuesday, March 22 – (NEW) US 33 EB Lane Closures for Traffic Shift
Overnight Tuesday, crews will shift US 33 EB traffic towards the median so that widening work can begin on the outside lane.
When all lanes of US 33 EB reopen Wednesday morning, there will now be three lanes between the Avery-Muirfield Dr. entrance ramp and the I-270 SB exit ramp.
That means starting Wednesday, the far right lane will be EXIT ONLY to I-270 SB. The left and center lanes will continue on US 33 EB.
Here’s how traffic will be impacted Tuesday night to make that happen.
- 8 p.m. US 33 EB will be reduced to one lane between Avery-Muirfield Dr. and Post/Frantz Rd.
- 2 a.m. Ramp from US 33 EB to I-270 SB will close. The detour is US 33 EB I-270 NB to Sawmill Rd. to I-270 SB.
- 5 a.m. Ramp and all lanes open.
